Police Department Helps Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Throughout October, members of the Rumson Police Department are helping to raise awareness for breast cancer. Every officer is wearing specially designed pink Rumson Police sleeve patches on their uniforms, and every squad car has pink Rumson Police magnets replacing the Rumson PD logo. Members of the department gathered at Borough Hall for a department picture to show their support to the cause.
“Please join the men and women of the Rumson Police Department in bringing attention to Breast Cancer Awareness. Many of us have had loved ones affected by this terrible disease and we want to say we are in this fight together and you have our support! We also want to broaden our scope of support to anyone who has dealt with cancer in any way and to let you know we are thinking of you!”
– Chief Scott Paterson
The custom sleeve patches and squad car magnets were on full display during the annual Rumson PD “Coffee with a Cop” event on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Brennan’s Delicatessen in Rumson.
